Your road safety messages

Many of the ideas suggested by the communities show that we need to encourage people to be responsible and to pay attention when travelling along our roads. This important message is called ‘Your Roads, Your Safety, Your Responsibility’.

PodcastTo help promote this important message the Council has been pleased to work in close partnership with the Wolseley Road Mosque. Imam Abdullah Khan Niazi has kindly developed important teachings about how it is important for to take responsibility in our lives when we’re driving, walking or cycling.

You can listen to these teachings by listening to our podcast. This is available by clicking on the icon on the right hand side.

Sharrow Festival

On the 4th July, Sheffield City Council’s Road Safety Team will be at Sharrow Festival to talk to local residents about the campaign and invite them to make a pledge about how they can help keep their roads safer. There will also be the opportunity for children to draw what they think about road safety and there will be other children activities available.

Your Ideas, Your Rewards

Everyone who contributed to the Our Roads, Our Safety campaign were entered into a free prize draw. On the 6th July the prize winners will be collecting their prizes and making their own pledges about how they will keep themselves safe on the roads.
